If you have a cup holder that is far back, say behind the drive controls, you will be disappointed. You can't set it to face you. a little, and the base allows you to tilt. So you essentially have a HIGH extension that you still can't see for sure while driving. Basically the same as putting your phone straight into the cup holder!
