After starting delivering groceries again with a dozen 1-2 piece plastic bags (why shops, why?), I figured there must be a better way. Modeled on the warehouse I picked up from, I implemented a similar basket and cart system. I keep this cart in the trunk of my car along with three plastic bags, which I then load up and deliver to the customer's doorstep in a trip or two instead of dozens. Despite its high carrying capacity, it folds up and stows surprisingly small when fully extended. It can easily haul three 12-gallon bags of groceries across typical urban terrain (streets, sidewalks, doorways, etc.), so a bit of real luggage shouldn't be a problem. The base extends a few inches to accommodate longer items, bungee straps hold most items securely, and the handle locks in multiple heights for different users/uses (kids or adults, walking or towing).
