Review on 🌿 Enhance Your Planted Aquarium with the Fluval Ceramic CO2 Diffuser, A7548 by Wendy Williams

Save money on aquarium pumps and filters

I haven't had a good experience with these diffusers. As others have mentioned, this one seems quite prone to clogging. While this can be solved with bleach, it hurts, but the main problem is that it deflates the hose so easily when it clogs and creates back pressure. I have this problem almost every morning when I turn it on for the first time; This is a huge pain and a waste of CO2 in my Fluval Nano System (20g). The plug is so slippery that every time I turn it on I have to reach into the tank, have to hold the hose with my hand for the first minute, and then it works the rest of the day. That's a big pain, even for a nano tank. I've now tried 3 different other diffusers, all ceramic discs, some even cheaply made in China; They're all better than these and haven't had any problems with back pressure blowing out of the hose or getting clogged frequently (and even blown glass bottles can be found cheaply on eBay). I now have worry free CO2 systems, dry sleeves and a Fluval diffuser to see if I can return or reuse as an expensive Aeroston.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
