Cleaned and working great after 3 years!

Bought about 3 years ago. It worked fine with a homemade yeast setup, but after a while I strayed from the planted aquarium hobby and this algae covered one sat for 2 years collecting dust somewhere out of sight. is running now and I want my plants to thrive. I looked it up in a box, left it in a strong white vinegar solution, then dripped in some hydrogen peroxide, then left it in a diluted concentration of bleach for an hour, then went back to the vinegar for about an hour with a finalโ€ฆ

Planted aquarium CO2 system.

Great product! The first 25 minutes were problems with big bubbles. Later everything worked like clockwork. This is my system which consists of a 24oz CO2 paintball can, CGA 320 regulator adapter (ordered blue from Amazon), solenoid (110AC), ball valve and timer. Everything seems to be working fine :)) Update: 05/17/2017 I upgraded my CO2 a little more under pressure. Replaced my ball reservoir with 5lbs and replaced the ball valve with a needle valve (Seagelok-ss-21rs). I still use the sameโ€ฆ

Good ceramic stone, good quality.

This ceramic stone was made from good products, so I gave it 4 stars because if you leave the stone unused in the water, the stone poverty will fill with algae and in. It takes a huge amount of pressing CO2 by the pressure, you need to clean it if you leave it in the water even after a night. You can't even blow the air out of your mouth because it's so clogged, there are no instructions on how to disassemble and clean it. I just had to make a resource and even then I didn't find anything, Iโ€ฆ

but enough to get the fine mist out of this ceramic diffuser

Relax, especially the one with the negative review. I had a bad block and Revain was quick to replace it. Thank you Prime for the quick replacement and fast shipping. I use a homemade CO2 generator. Sugar + yeast, 2 liter soda bottles, you'll find heaps of treatments if you search "DIY CO2". So it doesn't generate a lot of psi, but enough to drive fine mist out of that ceramic diffuser. I kept the valve closed at night and my pressure rose to around 1.5 (up to 2) kg/cm2 which is 20/25 psi. Asโ€ฆ

Save money on aquarium pumps and filters

I haven't had a good experience with these diffusers. As others have mentioned, this one seems quite prone to clogging. While this can be solved with bleach, it hurts, but the main problem is that it deflates the hose so easily when it clogs and creates back pressure. I have this problem almost every morning when I turn it on for the first time; This is a huge pain and a waste of CO2 in my Fluval Nano System (20g). The plug is so slippery that every time I turn it on I have to reach into theโ€ฆ

works perfect. Very cool looking little bubbles

works great. Very cool looking little bubbles. CO2 regulator must be at least 30+ pi. The product will not function at lower pressures per square inch. If the CO2 bubbles are larger than expected, this is due to constipation/algae. I soak it in bleach at night before changing the water and process it in an aquarium chlorinator before leaving it in tap water overnight. . This way all the bleach will be gone in the morning before the CO2 timer kicks in. I had an oscillating algae infestation so I

Works well. Place it anywhere in the aquarium.

Works well. I've only had it for about 1.5 months, but everything is working fine so far. A pressure of 30psi works best. Once the regulator is set at 30psi, you can open/close the regulator's needle valve to provide any desired flow rate. I can't imagine this would work very well with homebuilt CO2 systems. You really need decent, steady pressure above 20psi. Algae is starting to build up on my white disc, so I'll probably have to clean it soon. I'm not sure how easy and efficient this willโ€ฆ

good value for money

I have kept aquariums with plants for many years using a yeast system and Aeroston. Just before I got this diffuser, I used a CO2 ladder to disperse the CO2 in my 40 gallon planted tank. I realized the CO2 ladder wasn't enough to dilute all the CO2 for my tank size because I didn't see the plants turning yellow under bright lights and it wasted a lot of CO2. I decided to use a ceramic diffuser but didn't want to experiment too much. So I bought this one which was one of the cheapest. Don'tโ€ฆ
