Review on GMI GuardMaster II (375) Standard Wire Mesh Pressure Gate - American Made! by Jennifer Johnson

I bought this gate for the bottom of the stairs to stop an 18 pound dachshund from climbing up. The main reason for buying this gate was the price. The bottom of my ladder is 40.5" and while the gate fits, it also opens and closes between sections. My dog learned very quickly that he could just push the latch up and down with his paw. good gate, if you are looking for a deterrent.If you have a dog that looks at you and thinks "oh I shouldn't go that way" and turns around then you are good.However if you have a dog like mine that looks at you and says "challenge accepted!", then just pass by. He also gets knocked down easily by my dog just leaning into him or the body throws him a few times. Another annoying thing is constantly moving it out or over it It's a numbers game the more times you step over it the closer you fall Which I've done several times I ended up upgrading to the Dreambaby Pressure Mount Hallway Gate which has a hinged door and is much more wall mountable can. My dog was defeated, but the win cost me about $90!
