I don't think I was paying close attention to the listing but when looking through it it was mentioned that you may need to trim the nib for your specific application. We have a non-turbo engine in a base 2009 Mini. The length was about two inches longer. Unscrew the stainless steel tip with pliers and place the new probe next to the original probe. Considering the amount to be inserted into the tip, cut the spring so that the top hole in the indicator tip is just below the highest small ridge on the shank. Screw the spring back into the indicator. The full amount should be in the top hole and the bottom 1 liter level is touching the top of the oil. Much easier to read :)
