Digital Frame is Hampered by Ways to Transfer, Display Photos

The ARAFUNA Digital Picture Frame is a Wi-Fi enabled, 10-inch Touch Screen Digital Photo Frame with 16 GB of memory. That amount of memory is important because it’s the only way to store photos on the device.Setting up the frame is very easy and intuitive, especially if you download the Frameo app (available for both Android and Apple devices). With the app downloaded and enabled, you simply send a code to yourself to begin uploading photos from your phone on to the frame. It is a bit more time consuming to upload photos via the tiny micro-SDXC memory card slot. The card inserts flush into the device, which means removing the card can be difficult. I had to use my fingernail (or the tip of a paper clip) to push the micro-SDXC card in and release it from the slot.Once the card is inserted, it’s relatively easy to transfer photos from the card to the digital frame, following the on-screen prompts. It took me about 10 minutes to transfer more than 700 photos. The digital frame will accept micro-SDXC cards up to 16GB.It is not possible to use a micro-SDXC card as "extra” memory, and add to the memory of the frame. Memory cards can only be used to transfer photos. With about 12GB of available memory on the frame, however, it’s possible to store thousands of photos and short video clips. The package includes a power adapter and cable, a shorter USB "charging” cable to power the device via a computer (there’s no internal battery to charge) and a pencil-shaped stand that allows for landscape or portrait placement on a table. The digital frame can also be hanged on a wall, but, without an internal battery, the white cable will be visible running down the wall to the power adapter. The frame itself is very light and is made entirely of plastic. The screen resolution is clear and sharp, at 1200 x 800 dpi. You can set the digital frame to start and stop at a certain time each day, and it’s easy to browse or delete photos via the touchscreen. The frame also has a "sleep” mode, so it starts pretty quickly. If you only plan to only transfer photos to the device via a mobile device and the Frameo app, then the ARAFUNA Digital Frame is easy to use. Transferring via a micro-SDXC card is definitely more challenging, and the fact that you cannot insert a memory card or USB memory stick, and run photos that way, is limiting. While 12 GB does offer a lot of storage, the frame could have been so much better with the option to use micro-SDXC cards or USB memory sticks to display photos.
