Screw in the screws by hand and drill with a 1/8 bit

Before installing, read a number of reviews on these numbers. They are a little complicated but so affordable and they look very pretty. The first thing I did was HAND screw the screws into the back of the numbers. I screwed them all the way in. I didn't want to over tighten and break the screw. Then I placed the numbers on the number templates and marked the new holes. They don't fit together perfectly because the screws aren't straight. Then connect the numbers together so they are perfectly spaced. Duct tape to determine where the numbers should go. Punch holes at each marked location on the templates. Drill the hole with a 1/8" bit, not the 1/4" bit they recommend. Carefully insert the numbers into the appropriate drilled holes. A 1/4 hole would be too big, 1/8 would seal it perfectly, so we didn't need any glue/sealant. The figures went in with light force and none of the screws broke. Much luck!
