I have been using Spenco CrossTrainers for several years to assist with arch fatigue and perhaps some plantar fascitis. It seems that this Walker/Runner model works even better for me. The CrossTrainers are pretty much a flat, thick cushion. The Walker/Runners have a cupped heel ("heel strike pad"), which I have found very comfortable to absorb shock and give more "bounce" in the step. Also there is a little lift in the arch area for support ("countoured arch support"), which the CrossTrainers do not have. Both models have "heel to toe cushioning" and "low-friction top cloth [which] helps prevent blisters").The Spenco packaging says that both models are for walking, running, training, and sports. The Walker/Runners are said to be ideal for medium to high arch; the CrossTrainers, for low to medium arch. I though that I had a low arch, but the Walker/Runners seem to be better for me than the CrossTrainers. For further information, the Spenco Customer Service number is 800/877-3626 ([.]).
