Review on Bridgestone Blizzak VRX 195/55 R16 87S winter by Stanislaw Stan Stras ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

The second season I ride Bridges, before that I had Viking Contact 5. Bridgestone's absolutely obvious plus is the composition of the rubber! I don’t know what they added there, but it doesn’t swim at all in warm weather, unlike the Continental, you can ride like in summer. Handle is very confident on all types of surface, with the exception of ice. God forbid you get on the ice at high speed and slow down. Although in terms of braking properties, Bridges are not worse than Conti, and even better in handling on ice! On the pavement, I did not find any disadvantages for myself at all - driving is a joy! In addition, when balancing the wheels, a minimum of weights was needed, which indicates the good quality of tire manufacturing. Of the real disadvantages, I note the lack of a protective side for the rim, and indeed, the rubber somehow sits very strangely on the rim, although the Bridgestone official representative said "that it should be so." I recommend buying for those who spend 90% of their time in big cities, and for those who understand all the pros and cons of non-studded tires.

Pros
  • - Excellent traction on all surfaces except ice - Reasonable price compared to competitors - Very quiet
Cons
  • - No disc guard (in size 205/60 R16) - Handling on ice
