Unlike most Asian clothing items which require you to "size up" at least a size or two to fit US sizing, in this case I would suggest going down a size. I was size XL which said it was for 41-43 inches. Well, if you want that stretchy belt to really hold up your pants, go down at least one size! When you buy a belt in the US, you will be told to order one size larger, from the waist of your regular pants. In my case I wear 38-40 inch pants so I figured it was the right size. But the weight of the pants can cause the belt to stretch so much that it begins to slide down. To stretch the strap enough to actually provide enough holding power, I have a good 8-10 inch strap hanging from the tongue! It can even be slipped into the belt loop on the side of my pants. The belt looks good. like the colors in which it is available. The size just seems odd. I haven't worn it enough to know if the color may peel as some have reported.
