The fan is fine. However, there is a known issue with the remote control and receiver. The fan/light won't turn on or turns off suddenly even if you try to turn it on from the wall. You can contact the company and they will send a replacement (remote control for an older version of the fan) but professional installation is recommended as the remote control receiver which is located on top of the canopy will also need to be installed. It's disappointing that the company continues to sell apparently faulty remote controls. His decision to supply a replacement falls short as for most customers it requires a renewed call from an electrician for reinstallation.
