It works. but. for jigs for jigs

This is one of those tools that takes a little practice to work properly. You should have a SLOW drill - the recommended maximum is 500 RPM, but 300 is more like it. It takes practice and a powerful drill to make it flake off the chips (rather than vibrate). Using only one blade helps, especially if your drill isn't powerful enough. If he cleans the chips, he will feed on you on his own. It will cut knots, but your drill will most likely stop/slow down with each attempt. It also takes practice to start/run it in the middle of the log - it's probably best to guide the log by hand so it sits snugly when you start. drill. The maximum cutting diameter is approx. 4.25" (for 2" tenon cutters); If your log is larger, you'll need to sand it before you begin. This is not a big deal but will take some time. Make sure you tighten the blade screws - I have one in the chip pile somewhere! The included 1/4" pan head screws are on the short side for my liking, but the holes are cut deep enough to accept 1/2" pan head screws. Be prepared to smooth out vibration marks with a rasp, surform, or something else. .Slots on side to indicate tenon length does not work well when drill is rotating (end not visible). It's better to put a plug if you need shorter spikes. I wanted 2" and it will cut 3" spikes, so the 1" plug worked. You need to secure the log well to keep it from twisting and interfering with the rattling.
