All crimps are made from high quality material, however the actual crimp size of each color may vary from crimp to crimp. Used most of the red for my speaker wire project. I crimped 14 gauge wire to 16 gauge. The crimps appear to be larger than the industry standard because I had to use all the blue crimps instead of the red ones based on the wire gauges I was crimping. I'm using a professional crimping tool and the blue ferrules are definitely too big for 14 and 16 gauge copper stranded wire. Also, there was some degree of scattering among the red ripples. Some crimp holes fit the wire tighter than others, crimp to crimp. They compress well and evenly when heated and remain flexible for repositioning for about 90 seconds after shrinking. - Regardless of what I said above, I would buy these creams again and recommend them.
