Review on OWC Drive Dock USB-C Dual Drive Bay: Enhanced Storage Solution for Mac and PC (OWCTCDRVDCK) by Michael Eldridge

Dock OWC, STONES! for computer accessories and peripherals

It is recommended to have/purchase a PCI-E USB-C card (if your system doesn't have a built-in card) from a reputable company before purchasing (I use a card by SONNETT). ). If anyone is using a Thunderbolt connection, be sure to visit the OWC website and download the latest firmware and drivers before use. After setup and before transfer, make sure to format an empty drive first, then go to DISK MANAGEMENT and enable "Write Cache" for better performance (You need to use your operating system to eject the drive when enabling this feature ). Depending on what drive format you use (IE - HDD, SATA SSD) you will get around 980MB. Just note that this device does not do offline cloning. It should work with your particular operating system. If someone uses a hard drive, I recommend a larger capacity hard drive (at least 7200 rpm / 265 MB cache). SATA SSD is the best choice. This drive is ideal for people who have laptops and for those who want a clean and tidy workspace. Robust construction and design. Worked like a charm for me and didn't have to deal with the hassle of putting the drive in an external enclosure.

  • Solid construction
