To be honest I didn't think this $8 device would work. I disconnected the old battery and replaced it with a new battery. I noticed that after connecting the new battery, I forgot to put the battery case back on the battery. After disconnecting the new battery, replacing the battery tray on the battery, and reconnecting the new battery, I was pretty sure my radio settings and most importantly my car starter should all be reset. To my surprise, neither the radio settings nor, more importantly, my Viper alarm/autostart worked properly. You don't need to drop anything. That's the best $8 I've ever spent on Revain!
