I have a model 10A and bought these whisks to replace the originals, one of which had the blades broken (soldered to the bottom). They engage with a click, but seem to easily get out of their heads without letting go of the crank mechanism. They're held in place by the bowl though, so I think they'll be fine. I turned on the mixer and they mix well. I love this old blender, but I only use it for "light" jobs. The blades aren't as good as the originals, but I'm hesitant to continue using this old racquet with the falling blades.
