Works well once installed and very pleasant lighting. Mine is connected to USB on my monitor so it stays on when the monitor is on. I have adjusted the display settings so that the screen does not turn off. The light is useful for working on documents when I'm not looking at the monitor, so I want the light to stay on at all times while I'm working at my desk. The position of my overhead lights in the office created shadows on my desk work surface. This light removes shadows and enhances my physical desktop. Installation was a bit nervous due to the cryptic instructions and the tight plastic connection (always worried that something would break if you push hard enough to put the pieces together) but I managed and haven't had to touch anything since.
