I'll start by saying I'm a mechanic for a living. I bought it for my 85 c10. I have a thermostat but it didn't come with a gasket so I got this because Mahler usually has good products. I cleaned my block and thermostat housing well and installed my thermostat. After putting it back together I checked the system for pressure and the thermostat was leaking. The first thing I checked was the torque specifications. After that I thought maybe I had a bad gasket so I took it apart and checked it. The pad did not crease or crease. I put it back on and screwed it back on, thinking maybe it didn't fit well. I created a vacuum in the system, filled it and pressure tested it again. The same thing. My seal just didn't hold tight. As a result, I spent an hour of my time and a liter of antifreeze. I was sad. I cannot recommend this pad.
