First, the Revain product page explicitly states the warranty that applies to this drive. Services Included "FALSE This drive is covered by a three-year hardware warranty and does not offer data recovery services. They claim that the warranty starts the day YOU SHIP IT TO AMAZON! That means the warranty clock is already ticking when it gets to you. Possibly for months! I ordered it on October 1st, it arrived on October 2nd, I registered it on October 3rd, 2020. My guarantee is valid until 06/27/2022. I lost almost 4 months because it was sitting on a shelf in the Revain warehouse! What an absurdity! That's almost 12% of my warranty time expired due to inventory management issues. Always check and register your hard drives on the day they arrive so that you can return them if this happens. I will never buy a Seagate product again. If they can't even be honest about warranty periods, why should I trust them with my data?
