I was looking for an instant cheese or ham and cheese sandwich sheet. Product seen and ordered. Here's what I found: 1. There is NO on/off switch on this unit! This is a real pain and can be dangerous depending on where the plug is located. There is also no temperature control. So you have to deal with what they give you. That means being VERY careful with your time.2. This is a VERY inexpensive item. The details are very thin and light. Be careful with the edges of the panels as they are sharp enough to cut yourself. I took a piece of sandpaper around the edges and that solved the problem.3. DO NOT expect it to be fast! It takes time to heat up and then it takes time to cook.4. DO NOT rely on this appliance to make a nice thick sandwich! It is not designed to work with pre-sliced cheese more than two thicknesses thick. So if you want to add ham, consider very thin slices. This appliance is NOT intended for cooking raw meat! Only fully cooked meat may be used in accordance with the instructions on this appliance. DO NOT spray vegetable oil as it can burn. Use regular oil to coat panels or use butter.7. The plates are easy to remove and can be placed in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.8. This is a very small unit. Two normal slices of bread just about fit next to each other on this device. Overall it's not a bad product but I wouldn't recommend it.
