Terrible smell, do not buy!

Shortly after switching on the air purifier, there was a strong smell of burnt rubber or something similar. I put it in a busy room and let it run for a few days to see if it would stop. It's not like this. The air it creates is more toxic than the air I'm trying to clean. Terrible product.
