This blade is well built and reliable, I like the fact that the bearings and blade are easy to replace. We cut 20 filters in a row, small and large, and this cutter worked flawlessly. Just operate it like a pipe cutter (without applying too much pressure and making sure the filter flange is snug against the cutters), it will cut the filters cleanly in 5-10 turns. Don't use it like a can opener and try to open the filter in one turn as slicers don't work that way. PS Some reviews mention problems and design flaws, we didn't come across it.
