I cut out the switch that came with the LED lights and installed this switch. It took me a few minutes to figure out what each wire color did. For my type of applications, here's the job each cable did for me. Below are the LED lights for trucks. Note: I also used the rear door contact switch with the app below. Cable color / task color red / switch light (connect to parking light) with direct connection to your vehicle's battery. The light stays on all the time. Black / Ground (connect to vehicle chassis) White / connect to positive lead on LED switch Brown / connect to negative lead on LED lights, breaks the ground circuit. The pressed indicators go out, the pressed indicators light up. Blue/unused LED indicator. The negative cable was connected to a contact switch. Lamps that are pressed go out, lamps that are pressed come on. The positive cable of the LED lights was connected directly to the car battery.
