This feeder is great. Now my koi are fed on a regular schedule instead of at random times. I suggest you try it out before putting it in a pond so you know how much feed it will provide and how the program works. The service time is given by the hour, so you cannot set 15, 30, 45 minutes. I feed small portions several times a day. The portions are small and one feeding is enough for up to 9 servings. Other reviews say the feeder feeds too much but apparently they changed the program to make smaller portions. There are 2 screws for different size products. I would recommend the small auger as the food will fall out of the large one if you are using medium/large sized pellets. I can definitely recommend this feeder. My koi are now waiting to be fed at the feeding station. I've had the feeder for about 2 weeks now and haven't had any problems with the feeder or rain. You need a power source and you need to install the feeder on concrete, wood or a solid surface. I used a hammer drill and used flagstone taps.
