Basically a great chair at a good price. It reclines quite well, which is hard to find in a cheap chair. Here's the key: Although the backrest measures just 26 inches, it has a "protruding headrest." I'm 6'1" and the headrest touches the underside of my shoulder blades. My wife is 5ft 4in and it doesn't come down to her neck. Instead of a headrest, you have a bulge in your upper back that pushes you forward. But very comfortable for my nine year old. I will add a pillow and try my best. I would advise looking for a good flat back in a chair of this size, nothing that sticks out.
