Arrived faster than expected. The guide was great. The packaging was excellent and all small parts were logically divided into stages of assembly. The overall quality and design is impressive, especially at this price point. I first installed a Home Depot fan junction box as a secure mounting point (you don't want to use ceiling fan tags). I then took the time to install it to ensure quality results. I had to periodically re-read the instructions at certain points where it seemed a little tricky (as to be expected) but there is nothing a seasoned DIYer couldn't handle and the documentation was accurate and helped me through those areas get. When I first flicked the switch I got some wobble in the high setting, but again took my time with the included balance kit to figure out where the attachable weights would go and now there's absolutely no wobble. any speed. The fan is very quiet and smooth - such a huge upgrade from the very good standalone fans we're used to. At high speed we can hear the air moving a little because it's moving a significant amount of air, but it's still very quiet. At medium speed, however, it's dead quiet and still moves an impressive amount of air. This is a bedroom setup, so I doubt we'll get past the medium speed setting, which is absolutely perfect. As an added note, the fan blades (white on one side and beech/maple on the other) were a pleasant surprise. I thought everything would be white but instead opted for a wood grain pattern to accentuate the blades and ruin the all white look and it went well with our Scandinavian style furniture. Even matte light shades are pleasantly surprised. Fortunately not tasteless; The overall presentation would actually go with almost any decor - not too modern, but not too ornate either. Now I'm thinking of repeating this process for our other two bedrooms (offices) that get lots of direct sun during the day. Definitely stop my pick for this model. Just a great product for those who want to install it properly. Thank you Hunter for making such a thoughtful product at a reasonable price.
