It delayed my inlet rebuild but one day a shipment from Revain didn't do it too bad. I tried removing the old one with a master key. Yes, it didn't work very well. Poke a few holes in the metal mesh. In my opinion (and possible experience) it's best to remove it with a screwdriver that's slightly smaller than the hole. Since the screwdriver is conical, it has to wedge itself into the hole before it pops out (and pierces the screen), and with a little patience and jiggling, the old one should pop out. If you can get it out without damaging it, you might even be able to clean it with brake cleaner. It's not that the item is that expensive. Once you've removed the air intake, it's not a difficult task (removing the air intake is hard work). If you don't remove the air intake, it's a big problem. It can be done though (don't ask me how I know). Due to its position on the back of the engine and very limited space, it will take a lot of swearing and time while resting on the engine. If you do this without removing the air intake, I've found that this rectangular adapter 1&keywords=angle+socket+adapter&qid=1595862778&sprefix=angle+socket+a%2Caps%2C161&sr=8-15) is needed to remove the and reinsert the pressure sensor. Worth every penny.
