I was a bit skeptical about the thing when I first heard about it. Snowseal seemed to be the choice of most winter professions. Still, I gave it a chance and was blown away. I will admit that I use Sno-Seal AFTER applying this material but it penetrates deeper into the skin. After testing this product on my Kinco gloves, I applied it to my Timberlands. Preppy New York Boys might tell you "YOU SHOULD NOT DO THIS TO TIMBS" but. I had no intention of leaving my $150 leather boots unattended. It darkened them (which I really like) but you can just see how much smoother the skin becomes. It really protects the leather against drying out, cracking and obviously makes the leather more water-repellent. Still not quite WATERPROOF hence the Sno-Seal, but Sno-Seal doesn't soak into the skin like this material. One of my colleagues got the exact same mittens at the same time as me but left untreated. I apply at least 3 coats on top before applying snoseal. His mittens are falling apart, but mine will easily last another season of work. Maybe I'll add photos in the future.
