I doubt it's waterproof.
While this is a bright and functional device I highly doubt it can submerge. In order for it to work on both sides of the trailer, it needs to be assembled. And this makes it difficult to ensure waterproofness. Because of this, I try to make sure there is no water inside after I get the boat out. Unlike traditional taillights, there is no way to replace any of the multiple LEDs if they burn out. So instead of replacing the $1 bulb, I would have to replace the entire unit. Again. No, I would never buy one like that again.
