later This part will not fit unless you remove the metal ring or drill all around the drive shaft. I can live with the fact that the part won't fit unless you remove the metal ring, but unfortunately it's part of the company and packaging that there's nothing in or on the box to indicate it. I struggled for a good 45 minutes before deciding to consult the Revain reviews. Also, it's silly that the whole reason this part has to be better is the metal ring and the part doesn't fit well because of the metal ring. I give 3 stars because otherwise it's perfect. Note: I installed it on my 1998 Ford F-150 XLT (5.4L).
