If you buy this flashlight, be prepared to replace it between 6 and 18 months after purchase. Over the years they've improved the design a bit (in the old design the 12v power plug was connected to a flashlight which rusted after 6 months - in the new design the power cord is hardwired to the circuit board). However, the switch above is absolute junk and will not make normal contact after 6-18 months of use. You will know when this is happening as the light will flicker or be very dim or not come on at all. They've cornered the market - if you're using a Marineland cooker hood, this is the ONLY light that will fit. Next time mine fails (in a few months I think) - I'll just redo the entire light/bonnet package.
