That's a big deal! You must use both hands when using it as a mug. Since it is a screw cap, you must be careful not to overfill it. The lid is super strong. I put a carabiner (L-shaped spring clasp) on the lid and attach it to the pockets. Screw the lid and everything will be perfect. The ice stays on for over 24 hours, no kidding! I recommend only using water with this one. Seltzer might work too, but it might have blood pressure issues. I probably wouldn't put soda in it as the inside of the cup is metal and the acid in the soda will ruin the metal. Get a plastic cup. Hope that helps!
