Not plywood! for home office furniture
Although the pictures show the board to look like thick plywood, "Hot Melt Laminated Wood", also known as Melamine (Formica), is bonded to what appears to be particle board or MDF applied. (medium density fibreboard). It's a nice Formica-style desk, but it probably won't last as long as plywood, and it feels more like plastic than real wood. Knowing this, I may not have paid the $213 plus tax on this purchase. Aside from that and a metal tab that needs straightening before assembly, it feels like a solid and well-built table and was very easy to put together. If this was a plywood desktop as shown in the photos I would give it five stars.
