Review on White Wireless Smart Door/Window Sensor (2-Pack) by Monoprice - Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, No Hub Required - from Stitch Collection by Roberto Evans

Very pretty and uses AAA

I needed new door and window sensors so I decided to try this product before deciding to buy more to replace the ones I had from ADT. Setup is pretty easy and works with Alexa Routines, which is nice. You can write a routine that will announce to Alexa which door sensor has been opened or closed. If you don't want it to be right, the app will let you know with a notification sound. However, I like the routine better because I can have Alexa say which particular sensor triggered, for all the Echoes I have in the house, or just the Echoes of your choice. I am very happy with it but I only have it for one day. I'm not sure how long the battery will last, but then again I can create a routine that will let you know when the batteries need replacing. Using AAA batteries makes it a lot easier to swap out batteries instead of looking for the unusual sizes used in other door sensors. I have 5 hotspots all over my house so my Wi-Fi signal is pretty strong everywhere in my house. It doesn't require a hub, which is a plus, and it integrates with SmartThings. I have yet to find a Home Bridge plugin so I can get it to work with Apple HomeKit as well. I definitely recommend this sensor for the ease of installation and registering with the Stitch app.
