But I gave this one two stars because it works. not as good as the real agate polisher I have, but it costs a lot less than this polisher. I haven't tried sticking a heated wire into the "agate" to prove it's not stone, but it doesn't feel like stone, it doesn't make that tapping sound like my real agate polisher. and it doesn't feel slightly cool unlike all the real agates I have. But he works. It's not as difficult as a stone polisher, but it's very difficult to smear (technical term) dead, soft cabochon wire around the cabochons and not scratch the polymer clay cabochons. It has earned a spot in my toolbox at a time when many of my cheaper, lower quality tools are being replaced with better ones. If you buy this I suggest labeling it somehow so you don't mistake it for a REAL agate polisher. For the money this is a decent deal. But it's not at all like my expensive agate polisher, although it works well in the small niche it excels in. I just wish the seller would call it artificial agate or something to differentiate it from the much more expensive real agate polisher, that I bought elsewhere.
