I have had a copy of this drill for a number of years and it has held up well. I didn't actually ask it to do heavy remodeling or contractor-level work, but it holds up *much* better than the Craftsman. The noise from bearings and gears is about the same as new. (while Artisan clearly irritates its camps). When tightening a lot of screws (10, not 100) the exhaust air gets noticeably hot, so much so that I let it cool naturally. However, it was good enough that I bought my dad a pair for Christmas and he uses _hard_ tools.
