No idea how long the original switch was in use (I bought my house in 2013) but in 2019 the switch failed, the contacts just fell apart. Replacing with this one was flawless and very easy. I highly recommend searching Youtube for videos on replacing your switch. Take a photo of the wiring from the old circuit breaker that was installed prior to disconnection and be sure to disconnect the circuit breaker from the circuit breaker/pump before beginning work. After connecting and restarting the pump, it works perfectly and delivers a good constant pressure. all house. We can now flush the toilet, turn on the washing machine and shower without the water pressure drop that I assume used to be a waste because the old switch started to fail. In any case, excellent value for money, excellent product and very fast delivery. Installation took less than 10 minutes.
