I really liked this food slicer for the first few weeks. Now it has more of the cutting effect of a liquid. One of the problems is the long handle. This allows for significant wobble of the cutting end so that the blades no longer move in the center of the grooves of the butt section. They snap to the side panel, get stuck and dent. Not only that, the blades don't come loose either. They're cast into this one-piece aluminum frame and there's no way to re-tighten them or attach loose blades. Immediately after the 30 day return period was over, it started to deteriorate. I will be replacing this item with another that doesn't have a handle as long or not at all. I was concerned about the length of the handle, but there were so many positive reviews that I decided to take a chance. This product will not last long.
