I turned it on and off this time and other times it just worked until I physically turned the system off. I was very disappointed with the product, I had high expectations! I contacted Revain for an RMA and they sent a new unit within 2 days. This time I tested the device during the day. I installed and ran the device in the computer room. This one was worse than the first. I once again adjusted the system to 40%, it earned more than one percent. This block didn't even try to turn itself off under all settings. I know it has a 5 year guarantee, what's the point of buying a unit when they possibly have or could have it for repair? I decided to make one last try. and contact Varnado. I'm sure they are aware of the failure of the controller when wet. The last thing the company said was that I would tell the product manager because I asked for it. I realized I was disappointed because their heaters/fans are great! This is not what was expected. I'm afraid I have to send the device back. Wet condition is defective! For reference, I've never had a problem with the tank leaking once you exit the corner. DO NOT rotate the container or the system will leak. Straight! I haven't had any puddles or problems with condensation on the mats, the floor on the table. Yes, at 70% the device can be a bit noisy. From what I've read the levels are pretty low for what it can put out! Can't find noise level rating. It should be borne in mind that Vornado fans have never been silent. They are designed to move a large amount of air at once, this is the case. It's more of a white noise, not an error. Sometimes I can burp because the device sucks up 4 ounces of water at a time to heat up. The device itself has the best design I've seen compared to its containerized parts. Filters do not need to be changed, the manual says how to clean the block. The block itself is disassembled like Lego. Very easy access to the heating elements, the inside of the device for cleaning. Please note that when you turn on the device, steam only appears at 70%! I could hardly see any vapor even on the highest setting at the highest temperature. I wouldn't advise placing your iron over a fan to regulate steam flow! Also note that it is ABS plastic, you should not use harsh abrasives on the device. Looks like I'm a company supplier.
