These drums generally have good reviews but most that I've tried especially the 80 grit bushings are not as abrasive as I expected. The bushings I tried to replace remove more material faster than the new 80 grit and I feel like I'd rather burn the wood than sand it down. The pair of 240's I used work pretty well, so I'm thinking there might have been a bad batch on the 80's? 240's remove material faster than 80's and I use them on pine twist saw boxes, 3" thick to be exact. I used a 120 and everything was ok. I'm still giving it three stars because the 240's are still worth it and maybe I just have a bad set.
