They last about a year considering the back design

They last about a year or more due to the exposure of the backside of the LED board to the elements. However, these are the absolute brightest license plate lights you can buy for the GX470, and they are easy to remove (just press the old lamp housing against the license plate and pull down). Buy two pairs to have spares for a year.
