Review on 🔌 Master the Art of Soldering with MakerFocus Electronic Learning Beginner Kit by Luca Washington

I used the official PoE hats for a while but wanted one with an always on fan for the new ESXi ARM. At first I had the same problem mentioned in other reviews with loose fan screws. It looks like they actually installed the fan on my unit the wrong way round and as a result there weren't enough threads to attach it properly. Another thing to note is that the hat doesn't feel super secure. When I try to turn it on I usually have to plug and unplug it 2 or 3 times for it to turn on, unlike the official hat which doesn't have these issues (same cable, switch and Pi used throughout). If I can get it to turn on, it works, but I'm not impressed. At this rate I'd rather buy the official ones and connect the fan to +5V.
