I bought mine on sale during the off-season so it looks like it's been hit as a few centimeter long scratches show silver metal beneath a black surface. It doesn't appear to be pre-seasoned so prepare accordingly. Luckily, this is one of the best grips with no screw holes on the cooktop like other cheap grill presses. The 2 pound weight is good considering it's only 7 inches in diameter, and I don't mind as I just slice the bacon strips in half before frying. I'm hoping to try a keto diet soon, so I'm putting together tools that are cheaper off-season to make the animal protein diet more delicious while cooking on an indoor gas range.
