I squat very deep and as my sets got closer to 400 pounds I figured I should probably take some precautions not to hurt my knees. Now that I've had them for a while, I usually wear them when I'm trying to crack a PR or when I'm just having a hard time that day. What's good is I now feel like 400lbs doesn't justify the straps so they gave me the confidence to tackle harder lifts. There are also videos on Youtube showing how to wrap them properly.
