Review on πŸ“· Regetek 79" Aluminum Light Stand Video Tripod: Foldable & Adjustable for Ring Light, Cameras, Lights, and More - Includes Carrying Case by Vanessa Lee

Stable and light. I wish all my light stands were like this.

I've been comparing this style coaster to traditional coasters for a long time and finally got one. I found that the main benefit of this tripod is that it folds up the same way. They do this with modern camera tripods, making them more compact than their traditional counterparts. In addition, you can adjust the height in a few increments, which is not possible with a traditional light stand, as the legs can be completely flat for a lower overall height as well as greater stability when needed. Another benefit is that you can set different levels of incline for each leg separately in case your terrain is uneven, and although it's only three different levels, it gives you advanced adjustment options not found on traditional lighting stands. Includes a hook to add weight if needed, similar to modern camera tripods. .At first I thought it would lack stability compared to traditional light stands due to the lack of connections with feet, but I was wrong, I prefer this new type of tripod and if I could I would swap all the others. I have coasters in this style. They are surprisingly light, yet strong and durable. Check out the photos, the light it's holding is quite heavy and doesn't wobble at all even when fully extended. The carry case looks well built and compact, I don't think I would use the carry case to stand on anything to carry without it, but overall it was a nice addition. This version of Regetek is distributed in the same way as other brands, but it is the cheapest for the same quality. I can imagine that light, medium-weight racks will switch to this style in the near future as it has many advantages over traditional ones.
