Overheating of aquarium heaters and coolers
This product is suitable for the aquarium filter and heats the water. However, you can't rely on the tank to hold the advertised set temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. It didn't stop heating when the temp hit 78. It's not adjustable, so I kept taking it out. I put the thermometer in the cavity where the heater is and the water was almost 100F. If I hadn't caught him he might have cooked all my fish.
