Review on 🔊 Experience Powerful Audio with Energy RC-70 Tower Speaker - Black (Each) by Scott Mcgowan

I had been tuning the Cerwin Vega CMX 7.1 series for about 6 months and they were good speakers, but I've always wanted Energy RC/Veritas speakers and ended up getting them to a great find cheap price. justified prices. The Energy RC-70 speakers are excellent and I believe they were rated the best speakers under $2000 (pair) in 2007. They require a long break (I had about 80-100 hours) and while I was at work they played chilled lounge music. They didn't sound very good right out of the box, and Audyssey's calibration automatically set their crossovers to 120Hz (which is way too much). When I put the U2 CD in, I could hear mostly high frequencies and very little low frequencies. At first I thought something was wrong with them, but I decided to give them a long rest before judging the sound quality. After the burn in I turned the Odyssey MultEq Xt32 back on and the crossovers were set to 70 (I manually set them to 80) and they sounded fantastic! I couldn't believe my ears! I can't stop listening to them - they are so addictive. I have read many reviews online and people have said the same thing. My entire Energy RC/Veritas setup: - Energy RC-70 turrets; - Environment Energy Veritas VS; - Central channel Energy V-5.2; - 2 Klipsch sw. -110 subwoofers; - Receiver Onkyo TX-NR818. I paid LESS than the Bose Lifestyle V35 for all of this setup. I still don't know why people spend so much money on Bose - the real value is a few hundred dollars at most and over $2000 on marketing. Stop paying for Bose marketing campaigns! Energy have managed to make the best speakers for the money invested (the old RC and Veritas lines). Period.
