I bought one of these 8-port KVM switches to replace a 4-port system that we were having trouble with for a while. Remodeling of our main service room for our small computer sales/repair shop. Local customer service for most computer repairs. Virus cleaning, updates/upgrades etc. The 4 port system we had was old and very expensive when we bought it new. About $700 with cables and all. (Probably 15 years ago anyway) It was time to replace and upgrade to a larger unit as we've been hooking up a lot more systems at once lately and after reviewing the options for this model. Best price 8 port VGA with multiple USB ports for mouse/keyboard/external DVD/RW etc and good reviews. Delivery was fast. The product was durable and looked/looked well built. Easy installation. (There are rack mounting tabs if you need it). I installed mine right on my desktop using a long extension cord and a gigabit ethernet switch. Routed cables as well as Category 5 power cords and standard ATX power cords to each "station" in my rig and labeled/zipped all cables together. I have to say it works perfectly. Looks stylish and modern. (Unlike some other "cheap" switches. I will be buying another, maybe two, when we update our other service rooms. Should be much more efficient and capable with more capacity and no problem with old legacy hardware. We had one Problem First with a couple of cables, contacted the company and not only did they get it right, but they dealt with my issues quickly and without hesitation. In the end it was 8 new extra cables, not the shorter ones that come with the unit .but longer premium cables which they sell separately.Very satisfied and will definitely buy from them again.In the area I work in these people have many products that I will use again and again.After this experience I will use them definitely try them for all our needs they sell.
