My mother worked as a laboratory assistant at the SES for 25 years, and I was lucky enough to work there for six months. She was a laboratory assistant in the food industry department. So, a variety of food and drinks from schools, kindergartens and government agencies were almost constantly brought for testing. Water was also on the list. Samples were made of tap, drinking, mineral, carbonated water. Sometimes water purified in various ways was brought for testing. It was necessary to determine the amount of unnecessary impurities, salts and chlorine in it in order to calculate whether the water was suitable for drinking. Also, water samples were taken from the pool, but this is a separate conversation. So, one day my mother and her employees decided to check the water they drink at home. Everyone used different filters to purify water. I remember that Brita was among them. In general, they brought all the water and did the necessary analysis. In short, each of this kind of filters purifies water from harmful impurities in approximately the same way. The water becomes somewhat softer and better to drink. But! This is far from the best cleaning that can be. Containers (large plastic bottles) that are brought with already purified water are few, but better in composition. But, the best cleaning is in special stationary cleaners. Before them, all these filters, as you yourself know to what extent and how much ... *** We have been using the Brita water filter for a year and a half, although we bought it more than 5 years ago. Actually, we donโt have any particular complaints about him, but he filters the water in the same way as everyone else, that is, for a solid C grade. He looks like this. Quite cute. Brita logo. Like many other filters, there is a special drum for setting the date. You can set the installation date of the replacement cartridge, but I set the end date until which it can be used. It's more comfortable for me. But the cover of this model is one of its shortcomings. In order to collect water in a jug, you need to completely remove it. If your water consumption is large and you often have to pour water into it, then this nuance can become a problem. Our spout broke a long time ago, but this is our oversight, not the manufacturer's. There are no complaints about him. The nose is closer. Replaceable oval cartridge. Branded Brita cartridges are expensive, about 150 UAH, depending on where. Therefore, we have been buying universal ones for a long time, they cost 80-110 UAH. The photo below clearly shows that you need to remove the lid completely in order to pour water. Another unthought-out point in the model is the absence of a measuring scale, the "maxโ mark and the volume of water that fits into the jug. Or at least one of them. The disadvantage is not significant, but I do not know how much is placed in our filter. Of course, I can look it up on Google, but I don't want to. :-) *** ADVANTAGES: 1. Filters water like all other filters of this type - neither better nor worse; 2. Durable plastic; 3. Cute design. *** LIMITATIONS: 1. When compared with stationary cleaners, then cleaning is a C grade. But, this applies to all other similar filters. In this matter they are all equal; 2. In order to draw water into the jug, you need to completely remove the lid. There is no special hole for this purpose; 3. There is no measuring scale or at least an inscription - how much water is placed in a jug. *** CONCLUSION: If we compare the Brita water filter with its analogues, then it does not differ from them in terms of the degree of purification. I will not compare with other cleaning devices, I think that this is not fair. The only significant drawback for me was the lack of a special hole for taking water - it is very inconvenient to remove the lid every time you need to draw water. Because of this, I remove the filter 1 point. PS: Don't forget to change cartridges in time! When they pass their 250 liters of water, after some time they really begin to filter the water poorly and pass through themselves some of the previously detained harmful elements.
